Sea photo frame

Yes, I know that outside is autumn already... But I really wanted to save some sea memories from the summer. Besides that I had a lot of sea shells that we brought from the seaside and I could not leave them lying just like that... So I decided to alter a photo frame!

I bought a simple cheap frame and covered it with 2 layers of white gesso. But the frame seemed to me not enough white so I painted it in white with acrylics. I glued some burlap thread and then all these sea shells.
At the end I added a touch of texture paste and artificial sand.

Eco Style Card

Hi there!

This card was inspired by the challenge, the theme of which is Eco Style.

As soon as I saw this challenge the image of the card just came to my mind. I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

So I found some broken branches in the Botanic Garden nearby. For my birdie I used a decoupage technique and fabricated a nest for her from raffia. For the background I took wooden pattern paper and matted it with newspaper print. And of course kraft cardstock for the base of my card!

See you soon!

Steampunk photo frame

Today I have something special to share with you.

For this project I bought a simple photo frame.
I glued some cheese cloth and mesh tape on the frame for the texture and covered it with 2 coats of black gesso

And then the fun part began! For altering I used a bunch of metal embellishments and chipboard, but also my stash that I was collecting for about one year (spare parts of tape runner, some metal stuff from shoes, clothes, pens) :) oh yes, I had a lot of fun!
Another coat of black gesso.
Then I sprayed it all with copper and brown colors. To put the finishing touches to my frame I used a gold wax.

And some close-ups:

I should say altering this frame took quite a lot of time but I love how it turned out!

Hope you like it too ;)
